What High Point found

The crew photographed the gutters before starting. Long runs along the eaves were filled with brown needles and leaves, and in places moss had grown into the debris in the trough. On the roof above, bright green moss filled the seams between the shingles, and tall evergreens stand around the property.

What the visit included

The quote covered three services. The gutter cleaning is done by hand inside every gutter, with clogged downspouts cleared and the debris cleaned up off the ground. The roof blow-off uses gas blowers to clear loose debris such as needles and leaves from the accessible roof surfaces. It does not remove moss, which is why the quote added a separate moss treatment.

The moss treatment is a white powdered zinc sulfate monohydrate, which the quote notes works best on asphalt composition and concrete tile roofs. It treats the moss rather than removing it on the day. The quote says visible results usually take 4 to 6 weeks as the moss dies and weathers off, and that a white residue on the roof in the meantime is normal.

How the job was completed

Everything was done in a single visit on February 16. The roof was blown off, the gutters were cleaned out by hand along every run, and the downspouts were cleared. The moss treatment was spread across the shingles, landing as white powder over the moss in the seams.

Before and after

The after photos show the gutters empty down to the trough, with the needles, leaves, and moss gone. The moss in the shingle seams was still green on the day, as expected with a treatment that works over the following weeks.

Gutter cleaning cost in Puyallup, WA

This visit fell in the $500 to $900 range. The gutter and downspout cleaning was about half of it, with the moss treatment and the roof blow-off making up the rest. The amount of debris, the size of the roof, and access all change the price of a cleaning like this. This range reflects the scope of this completed project and is not a current quote.

What property owners with similar roofs should know

On this property, moss in the shingle seams and needles in the gutters showed up together under tall evergreens.

A roof blow-off clears loose debris but not moss. If moss is part of the problem, ask whether the quote treats it separately.

Moss treatment works over weeks, not hours. Expect the roof to look white, then for the moss to fade with the rain.

Related questions

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Puyallup, WA?

This Puyallup duplex fell in the $500 to $900 range for a full gutter and downspout cleaning, a roof blow-off, and a moss treatment.

What does a roof blow-off include?

The crew uses gas blowers to clear loose debris such as needles and leaves from the accessible roof surfaces and cleans up the ground afterward. It does not include moss removal.

Why add a moss treatment to a cleaning?

The blow-off and gutter cleaning clear loose debris, but they do not deal with moss growing in the shingle seams. The treatment was added to address that growth.

Where did the debris in these gutters come from?

The gutters held needles, leaves, and moss. The photos show tall evergreens around the property and moss growing in the shingle seams right above the gutters.

Was the whole duplex done in one visit?

Yes. The cleaning, roof blow-off, and moss treatment were all completed on February 16, 2026.
