5” K-Style Gutter Installation in Woodinville, WA
If you live in Woodinville, you know how fast a steady drizzle can turn into a full Pacific Northwest downpour. And when your gutters aren’t
This week we wrapped up a full 6-inch K-style seamless gutter installation in Woodinville, Washington, and it was a great example of why sizing and detail work matter so much in the Pacific Northwest.
The home had multiple roof valleys pushing serious water volume into concentrated sections of gutter. Add Woodinville rainfall to that equation, and the old system just couldn’t keep up anymore. Overflow had started showing up, and several sections were tired and ready to be replaced.
When water starts jumping the gutter in our climate, that’s not something to ignore.
What We Found During the Inspection
The roof pitch came in at 6/12 on a two-story home — pretty common for the area. The real challenge wasn’t just slope though. It was the number of valleys feeding into the gutter system.
Valleys concentrate runoff fast. When heavy rain hits, that water moves with force. Without the right system in place, it shoots right over the top.
Here’s what we noted:
Aging gutter system nearing failure
High-volume valley sections
Areas requiring custom fabricated corners
Sections needing counter flashing to prevent water from slipping behind the gutter
Downspout tie-ins that needed to stay tight to the wall for a clean look
Removal and recycling of the entire existing system
This wasn’t a “patch it and move on” job. This needed a full system upgrade.
The Solution: 6” K-Style Seamless Gutters
For this Woodinville project, we installed 445 linear feet of 6-inch K-style seamless aluminum gutters in Harvest.
Why 6-inch instead of 5-inch?
Because capacity matters.
A 6” K-style gutter handles significantly more water than a standard 5”, and when you’re dealing with valley concentration like this home had, that extra capacity protects fascia, siding, and foundation long-term.
We installed:
Heavy-duty hidden hangers every 24”
1.5” galvanized hex-head screws with neoprene washers
Proper pitch: 1/4” drop per 10 feet
28 hand-mitered custom corners (no bulky box miters)
10 valley diverters to control aggressive runoff
60 linear feet of counter flashing
Custom odd-angle and radical corners fabricated on site
We don’t pre-order corners from a warehouse. We hand-miter them on site so they fit the roofline exactly. Cleaner look. Better seal. Longer lifespan.
Downspouts Built to Match
We installed 161 linear feet of 2”x3” aluminum downspouts in Dark Gray to complement the Harvest gutters.
This home required custom offsets to keep downspouts tight to the wall and clean-looking. We fabricate our own offsets in-house so they sit exactly where they should — not hanging awkwardly off the siding.
We also added:
6 custom hardpipe sections
Proper tie-ins
Secure fastening with hidden rear straps
Careful planning around existing exterior elements
Every downspout matters. Gutters collect water — downspouts move it safely away from the foundation. Both have to work together.
Valley Diverters: The Unsung Hero
We installed 10 valley diverters on this project.
Valley diverters are small but critical in heavy rain regions like Woodinville. They act like a backboard inside the gutter, preventing high-speed water from overshooting the system.
Without them, even a properly sized gutter can struggle in a downpour.
With them, the water hits the diverter and drops cleanly into the trough — exactly where it belongs.
Removal & Responsible Recycling
Before installing the new High Point Gutter System, our crew carefully removed and recycled the old gutter system.
No mess left behind.
No scrap metal sitting in the yard.
No mystery screws in the driveway.
We treat every property like it’s our own.
Built for the Pacific Northwest
Woodinville homes deal with:
Heavy rainfall
Moss and organic debris
Steep roof runoff
Seasonal temperature swings
That’s why every system we install is designed specifically for the Pacific Northwest climate.
We don’t use:
Hang-fast hangers
Drywall screws
Hand-cut X outlets
We use American-made aluminum, professional fastening systems, and in-house trained installers who follow strict safety and installation standards.
Big enough to be the best.
Small enough to feel like family.
The Result
This home now has:
445 feet of high-capacity 6” seamless gutters
161 feet of clean, tight downspouts
Custom fabricated corners
Proper valley control
Clean roofline transitions
A system built to last
